Professional Bio
Leah was educated in the independent school world, spending her middle and high school years at Darlington School in Rome, GA, before becoming a Wildcat at Davidson College, where she earned a BA in French.
She has since taught English in Japan, worked in three different advertising agencies in three major US cities, read applications for UNC Chapel Hill and The Morehead-Cain Scholarship Program, and served a faculty member at Asheville School for almost two decades. During her time at the school, she spent five as Associate Director of Admission & Director of Financial Aid and 12 as Director of the College Office, all the while serving as a student advisor, a dorm parent, the SAT/ACT/AP Coordinator, a member of the Strategic Planning Committee, and more.
Leah continues to live on the Asheville School campus with her husband (an AP Chemistry teacher and coach), their two children, and two dogs. She loves to read, run, hike, mountain bike, and travel.
